IntroductIon
ThIS report recommends that the bId for parkIng equIpment systems to
be Installed In ParkIng Structure #2, be reJected as program plans
and
approprIate
regulatory
agency clearances have not been
fInalIzed.

In response to publIshed NotIces Inviting Bids
(published 5-3 &
5-4-85)
to furnish and delIver parkIng equIpment systems In
accordance wIth CIty specIfIcatIons, one bId was receIved from the
ParkIng FaCIlItIes EquIpment Corporation for $42,282.00 and publICly
opened and read on May 21, 1985.
Proposal forms were maIled to
three vendors and notIces were advertIsed In accordance wIth CIty
Charter and MunIcIpal Code prOVISIons.
ThIS bId must be accepted or reJected by CounCIl actIon by August
21, 1985.
AnalYSIS
It IS necessary to reJect thIS bId because staff has not completed
theIr evaluatIon of the feaSIbIlIty of haVIng a prIvate fIrm operat~
ParkIng Structure #2. ThIS evaluatIon Involves not only a parkIng
