Introduct1on
Th1S report recommends the Park1ng Author~ty 1ncrease the
park1ng perm1t fees for the Park~ng Author1ty Lots.
Background
The eX1sting park1ng perm1t fee for the surface parklng lots
15 $20.00 per month. The pernit 15 only good 1n an aS51gned
area of the lot and does not guarantee a space to a perm1t holder.
The perm1t fee was establ1shed at ~ts current level ~n 1978.
A recent survey of Park1ng ?ac1l1ties operated by pr~vate buslnesses
J~ldicate5 the average cost for unreserved or less conven1ently
located park1ng spaces 15 $37.50. A reserved or pr1me location
parklng space has an average of $56.70.

A RESOLUTION OF THE PARKING AUTHORITY
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA ESTABLISHING
MONTHLY PARKING PE&~IT FEES FOR PARKING
LOTS 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 12 AND 22.
THE PARKING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The monthly permlt park1.ng fees for par~1.ng
lots 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 12 and 22 shall be $30.00 per month.
SECTIO~ 2. The effective date of the park1.ng PerIT1.t fees
shall be January 1, 1982.
SECTION 3. The Clerk shall certify to the adopt LOn of
this resolut1.on and thencef()~th and thereafter the same shall
be ~n full force and ~ff=ct.
