Introduction
ThIS report requests CIty CouncIl to ~old a PublIC HearIng faT the
assessment of costs of Gutter DIstrict No.
1 on Proadway from
Ocean Avenue to LIncoln Boulevard and to adopt the attached
resolutIon confIrmIng the assessment of costs.
Background
On lI1ove~ber 11,
1980, CIty CouncIl set a publIC hearIng for
December 9,
1980, on the assessment of costs of concrete gutter
constructIon on Broadway from Ocean Avenue to LIncoln Boulevard
(Item 6L). IndIvidual letters statIng the estImated cost of thIS
Improvement and the date of the publIC hearIng were maIled to each
property owner In the distrIct on November 26, 1980. Attached IS
ResolutIon ~o. 6128 settIng the date of the publIC hearIng.
RecommendatIon
It IS recommended CIty CouncIl:
1. Open the publIC hearIng;
2. Close the publIC hearIng and overrule any protests;
3. Adopt the attached resolution confIrming t~e assessments.

COMPLETION OF GUTTER CONSTRUCTION DISTRICT NO. 1
Pu~suant to the prOVISIons of SectIon 5882 of the Streets and
~Ighways Code of the State of CalIfo~nia, ResolutIon of Intention
No. 5464 (CCS), adopted Janua;y 8, 1980, and Resolutlon OrderIng
Work No. 5518 (CCS), adopted Febcuary 26, 1980, the folloWIng wo;k
was completed prIor to November 1, 1980, to WIt:
The constcuction of 3,296 lIneal feet of
concrete gutter along Broadway between Ocean
Avenue and LIncoln Boulevard, all wIthIn the
CIty of Santa ~onIca.
The total proposed assessment to the propecty owners is $26,231.
The assessment was made on the basIs of $8.50 per lIneal foot of
replacement of asphalt gutter wIth Portland Cement Concrete
gutter.
Reference IS made to the attached sheets for a descrIptIon of the
real p;operty In front of WhICh the work has been done and the
assessment agaInst each lot o~ parcel of land proposed to be
leVIed to pay the cost thereof.
