Court between Colorado and Broadway
Introductlon
This report requests the City Council set a public hearlng for
the assessment of costs of reconstructlon of Flrst Court between
Colorado and Broadway.
Background
On October 12, 1983, the Clty Councll ordered the reconstructlon
of Flrst Court between Colorado and Broadway. The work has been
completed and property owner's share of the costs wlll now be
due. A publlC hearlng must be held pursuant to Sectlon 5882 of
the Callfornla Streets and Hlghway Code. A resolutlon settlng
the publlC hearlng lS attached. A Property Map and Assessment
Roll wlll be presented wlth the staff report at the tlme of the
publ1C heanng.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR
ANY PROTESTS OR OBJECTIONS TO THE
CONFIRMATION OF ASSESSMENTS FOR
RECONSTRUCTION OF FIRST COURT BETWEEN
COLORADO AND BROADWAY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the Superlntendent of Streets will
file a report of work pursuant to Sectlon 5882 of the Streets and
H1ghways Code of the State of California, relating to the
construction of certain improvements completed on Flrst Court
between Colorado and Broadway, all withln the City of Santa
Monica.
SECTION 2. That pursuant to Section 5870, et seq. of
sald Code, the C1ty Council does hereby order and declare that on
the 9th day of August, 1983, 1n the Council Chambers of the City
Hall, it w1l1 hear and pass upon any and all object1ons or
protests to the report of work of the Superintendent of Streets,
and the amount of the assessment assigned agalnst the real
property descnbed 1 n sald report.
SECTION 3. That all protests or obJections f!1ust be 1 n
writing and filed with the City Clerk on or before the time set
for hearlng of protests and objections.
SECTION 4. The City C 1 e rk 1 s hereby dlrected to ma i1
notlces. ln the manner and form prescribed by law, of the
adoption of thlS resolution to all persons owning real property
