I ntroducti on
ThlS report transmits a Final Map for Clty Council approval of the following
condominium project:

Background
After public hearlng and careful reVlew of the record and staff recommendations,
the City Planning Commission approved the Tentative Map for the above project.
The action of the Planning Cowmission was based on their finding that the pro-
posed subdivision should cause no substantial environmental damage and is in
conformance with all state and local laws and regulations and applicable General
Plan Elements. The Final Map conforms to the Tentative Map. The License Division
reports that the developer has either paid or agreed to pay the condominium tax.
The Building and Safety and Fire Departments lndicate that the project meets
present fire safety requirements. Approval by the County Engineer's office has
been received for the project.
Alternatlves
State and City ordinances require approval of final subdivision maps which comply
with approved Tentative Maps. Approval of the Final Subdivision Map does not
release the subdivider from compliance with any appllcable requirements of the
Rent Control Ordlnance. 10 - e. q

Recommendat1on
Inasmuch as the Final Map conforms to the approved Tentative Map) the buildings
meet required safety standards and the tax has been paid or an agreement to pay
executed) it is respectfully recommended that the City Council affirm the find-
ings of the Planning Commission and approve said ~ap with the advisement that
approval of the' Final Subdivision Map does not release the subdivider from
compliance with the Rent Control Ordinance requirement for an Exemption or Removal
Permi t.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF S~~TA MONICA DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 2. That the Map of Tract No. 35639 in the City of
Santa Mon1ca presented by James A. Barton and C. E. Telander,
being a subdivision for condomin1um purposes of Lot 74, Block B,
The Palisades Tract, as shown on map recorded in Book 7, Page 154,
of Maps, Records of Los Angeles County, be and the same hereby is
accepted and approved.
