14, 1984, on the Assessment of Costs to RepaIr
Damaged SIdewalks, DrIveways, and Curbs on
VarIous Streets (SR-84-57)
Introductlon
ThIS report requests the CIty Councll set a publlC hearing for
August 14, 1984, to hear protests regardlng the work and confIrm
the assessments of the cost to repalr damaged sIdewalks,
driveways and curbs.
Background
On October 9, 1979, the Clty Council approved a sIdewalk repair
program WhICh provIded for property owner partIcIpatIon in the
cost of repalrlng damaged sIdewalks. ResidentIal property owner
partIcIpat10n 1S 50% of the cost of the repaIrs If the damage IS
related to tree roo t s; the C1ty pays the remainIng 50% of the
cost of the repaIr. Property owners are assessed 100% of the
cost If the damage IS not related to tree roots and commercIal
property owners are assessed 100% of the cost regardless of the
cause of the damage.
Certaln repalr work has been completed at the follOWIng addresses
and the property owners' share of the costs are now due: 2501 to

RecommendatIon
It IS recommended the CIty Council adopt the attached Resolution
settIng a publIC hearIng for August 14, 1984, on the assessment
of costs of the subJect sIdewalk repaIrs.
