Or: October 9, 1979, the CIty Courcll approved a sIdewalk repaIr
program WhICh provIded for property owper partIcipatlor: lr- the
cost of repalrirg damaged sIdewalks. Res 1 der,tl al property owner
partIcIpatlor IS 50% of the cost of the repaIrs If the damage IS
related to tree roots; the CIty pays the remalDH,g 50% of the
cost of the repaIr. Property owrers are assessed 100% of the
cost If the damage IS r:ot related to tree roots ar.d commerCIal
property owr:ers ar e assessed 100% of the cost regardless of the
cause of the damage.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA SETTING A HEARING
DATE FOR ANY PROTESTS OR OBJECTIONS TO
THE REPORT OF THE SUPERINTENDENT OF
STREETS REGARDING REPAIR OF SIDEWALKS,
DRIVEWAYS AND CURBS (SR-85-60)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Resolutlon Number 6952 IS hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. Tr..at the Superlntendent of Streets wlll flle
a report of repalr pursuant to SectIon 5617 of tr..e Str eet s and
HIghways Code of the State of Californla, relatIng to tr..e
constructlon of certaln Improvements to sIdewalks and drIveways
at 1515 Maple, 1516 t1apl e, 1507 Paclfic, 1411 PaCIfIC, 1419
PacIflc, 141? Paclflc, 1415 PaCIfIC, 1501 PaCIfIC, 1418 PaCIfIC,

SECTION 3. That pursuant to SectIon 5600 et seq. of sald
code, the Clty CounCil does r..ereby order and declare that on the
12th day of Marcr.., 1985, at 1:30 P.M., In the Councll Cr..ambers of
the CIty Hall, It WIll hear and pass upon the report by the
SuperIntendent of Streets of the cost of repaIr, together wIth
any obJ ectlons or protests, If any. WhlCr.. may be ralsed by any
property owner lIable to be assessed for the eost of suer. repalr
and any otr..er Interested persons.

to all persons ownlng real property affected by the sidewalk
assessment repaIr program, whose names and addresses appe ar on
the last equalIzed assessment roll for tr.e CIty taxes or as known
to the CIty Clerk.
