ThIS report requests the CIty CouncIl hold a publIC hearl:1g for the
assessment of costs to repaIr damaged slde\.alks, driveways and curbs
at VarIOUS areas WI th 1'1 the Clty. It is recommended that Councll
adopt the attached Resolution confirmIng the assessment of costs.

STREET SUPERINTENDENT'S REPORT
REPAIR OF DAMAGED SIDEwALKS, DRIVEwAYS, CURBS AND/OR REMOVAL
OF OBs'rRUCT IONS, PERFORMED UNDER PROVISIONS OF DIVISION 7,
CHAPTER 22, SECTIONS 5600 TO 5630, OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS
CODE OF TtiE STATE OF CALIFORNIA (SR-85-62)
Pursuant to the provisions of D1V1S1on 7, Chapter 22, Sections
5600 of 5030, of the Streets and HIghways Code of the State of
California, the follow1ng work was caused to be done by the Street
Super1ntendent:
The removal and replacement of 69 llneal feet of PC concrete
curb at $10 per lineal footi and
The removal and replacement of 928 square feet of PC concrete
on sidewalks at $4 per square foot; and
The removal and replacement of 577 square feet of PC concrete
on dr1veways at $5 per square footi and
The removal of 102 lIneal feet of PC concrete parkway at $2
per square foot.
The total cost of the above work was $7,491.00
The total proposed assesment for the above sIdewalk and curb
damage is $3,745.50 or 50 percent of the total eost. The other 50
percent of the cost 1S being pald by the Clty as the above repairs
were caused by tree root damage.
Reference is made to the attached sheets for a descrlpt10n of
the real property in front of whieh the work has been done, the
proposed assessment against each property, and a descr~ption of the
work done In front of each property.

nature to tbe report of the Superlntendent of 3treets be and the same
are hereby overruled and denled.

report of the Super2ntendent of Streets, shall be assessed aga~nst the

SEC'I'ION" 5. I'hat if the assessment IS not paid wlth~n the tlffie
perffiltted by law, the Superintendent of Streets, in accordance With
Section 5628 of the Streets and Hignways Code, shall dellver a Notlce
of Lien, prepared in the manner required by Sect~on 5626 of the
Streets and H~ghways Code, to the County Auditor who shall collect the
assessment together w~th all other taxes agalnst the property.
