SUBJECT: Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Execute a Memorandum of
Understanding with the Management Team Associates
INTRODUCTION
This report requests that Council adopt the attached Resolution authorizing the City
Managerto execute a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the ManagementTeam
Associates.
BACKGROUND
The current Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Management Team
Associates (MTA) expired on June 30, 2000. As per the terms and conditions of the
expired MOU, negotiations with MT A to replace the expired MOU commenced and resulted
in the attached MOU. This new agreement has been ratified by the membership of MTA.
This agreement provides for a cost of living increase for FY2000-01 and FY2001-02 and
makes some minor economic and non-economic changes.

BUDGET/FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds are already included in the budget for FY2000-01 to cover any costs associated with
this agreement.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that Council adopt the attached Resolution authorizing the City Manager
to execute the attached Memorandum of Understanding with the Management Team
Associates.
