STREET IN TIM CITY OF SANTA MOVICke
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THS CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES IMSOLVE AS FOLLORSt
SECTION I# That the City Council of the City of lanta,Monica
hereby declares its Intention to order the vacation of a portioi'of
Sixteenth Street In said City) which said portion more particularly is ft-
sovibed as follower beginning at the most northerly corner of Lot 1, Block
A, Srkonbrecher Syndicate Santa Konica Tract, as recorded in Book 0, Pages
26 and 27 of Maps of Los Angeles County) thence northwesterly along the
southwesterly line of Sixteenth Street to the southeasterly line of the
Southern Pacific Railroad Company Right of Ways, 200 feet widej thence
northeasterly along said southeasterly line of said Right of Way to the
northeasterly line of said Sixteenth Street) thence southeasterly along said
northeasterly line of Sixteenth Street to the most westerly corner of Lot 2,
Bleat D, Irkenbrecher Syndicate Santa Monica Tractl thenoe southwesterly to
that point of beginning.
SECTION 2. That the public convenience and necessity require the
reservation of all the hereinafter described area for easovant In# upong
our and across the hereinbefore described portion of said stroot to be
vacated for the purpose of laying# maintainingo ropairings, repi;oingo relceat-
ftge oonstruatingp operating, ronewifts or enlarging of facilities of public
utilities specifically the Southern California Edison Company and the
Associated Telephone Company, Ltd. All proceedings relative to the vacation
of said portion of Sixteenth Street are taken subject to the reservation of
sash easement for such purposes*
The easement reserved hereby froze that portion of S"onth Street

SECTION E• For further particulars as to the proposed vacation
of the hereinbefore described portion of Sixteenth Street reference is made
to that certain Map Noe 77 dated October 26, 1950, on file in the Office of
the City Clerk in the City Hall, Santa Monica, California.
SECTION 4. The City Council of the City of Santa Monica in moat•
ing the above described portion of said Sixteenth Street elects to proceed
under and in accordance with the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of
1941", being Division 9, Part E of the Streets and Highways Code of the State
of California.

SECTION S. That the Street Superintendent of the City, of Santa
Monica hereby is directed to cause Notices of Street Vacation to be posted
as required by the Street Vacation plot of 1941, said act being Division 9,
Part 3, of the Streets and Highways Code, and the City Council hereby elects
to proceed under the provisions of said ante
SECTION 7. The City Clerk shall eertify.to the adoption of this
Resolution of intention and shall cause the sow to bs published Woe in
the Evening Outlook, a newspaper published and circulated in the City of
Santa Monica, the first of such publications shall be not lest than ten days
prior to November 28, 1950•
