AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA AMENDING SECTION
7200 OF THE :SANTA MONICA MUNICIPAL CODE
AND REPEALING SECTION 7204 OF SAID CODE;
WHICH :SAID SECTIUNS RELATE TO THE
ESTABLISHI 14G OF WATER RATES FOR WATER
FURNISHED BY THE CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
the rate of 8.1375 per 100 cubic feet;
(e) For the next 10,000 cubic feet, or less, at
the rate of =.11 per 100 cubic feet;
(f) For the next 35,000 cubic feet, or less, at
the rate of 8.099 per 100 cubic feet;
(g) For the next 60,000 cubic feet, or lose, at
the rate of $.088 per 100 cubic feet;
(h) For the next 75,000 cubic feet, or less,at
the rate of 4.077 per 100 cublo feet;

SECTION 1. section 7200 of the Santa Monica'"
Muniolpal
Code hereby Is amended to read as follows:

"Section 7200. Rates. (1) The following
"
rates
are hereby established and shall be collected

by
the Water Division of the City for water furnished
by
said City through water meters:
(a) For the first 600 cubic feet, or less, at
the
rate of 8.22 per 100 cubic feet;
(b) For the next 600 cubic feet, or less, at
the
rate of 8.1925 per 100 oublo feet;
(e) For the next 2,000 cubic feet, or lees, at
the
rate of $.165 per 100 cubic feet;
(d) For the next 3,000 cubic feet, or less, at
the rate of 8.1375 per 100 cubic feet;
(e) For the next 10,000 cubic feet, or less, at
the rate of =.11 per 100 cubic feet;
(f) For the next 35,000 cubic feet, or less, at
the rate of 8.099 per 100 cubic feet;
(g) For the next 60,000 cubic feet, or lose, at
the rate of $.088 per 100 cubic feet;
(h) For the next 75,000 cubic feet, or less,at
the rate of 4.077 per 100 cublo feet;

(1) For all water furnished in exoess of
186,200 cubic feet at the rate of $.066 per 100 oubio
feet.
(2) The minimiim monthly rate for water furnished
through meters shall be as follows:
For 5/8 inch and 3/4 inch meters, $1.30 per
month.
For 1 inch meters, $1.85 per month.
For 1} inch meters, $2.50 per month.
For 2 inch meters, $3.60 per month.
For 3 inch meters, $4.95 per month.
For 4 inch and larger meters, $6.60 per
month.
The monthly minimum rate shall apply at all times
unless the water is specifically ordered shut off by owner
or tenant."
SECTION 2. Section 7204 Construction Work by
City hereby Is repealed.
SECTION 3. The Mayor shall sign and the City
Clerk shall attest to the nassage of this ordinance.
The City Clerk shall cause the same to be published once
In the official newspaper within fifteen days after its
adoption. The ordinance shall become effective on the
thirtieth day after the date of its adoption.
