Mr. McCloskey moved to refer to the Council Committee

and report the Planning Commission's report, dated June 10,
recommending revisions in the condominium conversion procedures.
The motion was seconded by Reverend Judson and carried
with Councilman Cohen voting "NO".
Mrs. Reed moved to set over until a full council is present
the staff report, dated June 24, submitting a survey of a poll taken
among property owners in the Wadsworth-Hollister and Central Beach
Tracts regarding a proposed zone change from R3 to R2R.
The motion was seconded by Mrs. Swink and carried unanimously.
Mayor Trives announced that a committee composed of Mr.
Cohen, Mrs. Scaink and himself will meet caith the City Attorney
at 3:00 P. M, on August 17.

Renting space in
Sky Commerce Bldg.
The staff report, dated May 13, transmitting an agreement
with Lear-Siegler Corporation for leasing space in the Sky Commerce
building (formerly the Naval Reserve Facility of 31,824 sq. ft.)
Mr. Cohen moved to amend the lease to provide for 70 parking
spaces at maximum space rental and then to reduce the spaces pro-
portionately to any reduction in area Leased, increase from 60 days
to one year the liability of Lear Siegler to pay a share of public
utility bills, and provide the same conditions to "Sublet" (Para-
graph 14) as are now required in "Assignment" (Paragraph 13).
The motion was seconded by Mrs. Reed.
Mr. McCloskey, in questioning the length of the proposed
agreement and other terms therein, moved to refer it to administration
for further negotiation. The motion was not seconded.

At the suggestion of the City Manager, Mrs. Reed moved
to set a study session for no later than three weeks hence for
Mayor Trives and herself to meet with the City Manager and persons
in the community to review the staff recommendation, dated July 6,
regarding licensing, etc. provisions for exhibitions or fairs that
• require street closures. The motion was seconded by Mrs. Swink
and carried unanimously.
Gary Schwedes, member, Recreation and Parks Commission,
commented on its report concerning the use of Airport land. He
was advised that the report had been accepted for file by the
City Council at a recent meeting.
Mrs. Swink moved to approve appointments to the Youth
Advisory Council as recommended by the Mayor as follows:
Laurie Karl, Darren Burdick, Nancy Pollard, Beth Justice,
Jim Rodriguez, Janet Ponton, Lynn Hodgson and Cindy Kelly - terms
to expire June 30, 1977.
The motion was seconded by Mrs. Reed and carried unanimously.
Mr, McCloskey, in commenting on the numerous beach fireworks
displays that are set off on July 4 of each year, asked that some
effort be made by the administration to coordinate the displays
with the idea that the fireworks would be more fully enjoyed if
there was only one display being set off at a time.
Councilman Judson returned to the meeting.
At the suggestion of :fr. McCloskey, Mr. Williams indicated
• that the staff was in the process of reviewing provisions of a
zoning ordinance (referred to it by the Council at a previous meeting)
and would endeavor to bring back a recommendation pertaining to
parking regulations.
At 9:20 o'clock P,M. Mrs. Reed moved to adjourn in memory
of Eddie Pilloni, long time restauranteur in Santa Monica, Harry T.
Williams, and Harry C. Jennings, Jr., former civic leaders who passed
away recently.
