A RESOLUTION OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO FILE THE
FY2008-2010 SHORT RANGE TRANSIT PLAN; AND
TO SUBMIT GRANT APPLICATIONS, TO EXECUTE
-GRANT AGREEMENTS IN FURTHERANCE OF THE
SHORT RANGE TRANSIT PLAN.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Monica hereby authorizes the
City Manager to file the FY 20008-2010 Short Range Transit Plan ("SRTP") with the Los
Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority ("Metro"):
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Monica also authorizes the
City Manager to file grant applications and to execute .grant agreements to accept
federal, state, regional and local transit assistance in accordance with the SRTP,
including, but not limited to, the Federal Transit Administration ("FTA"), Metro, South
Coast Air Quality Management .District ("SCAOMD"), State Department of Homeland
Security ("Homeland Security"), .and the California Department of Transportation
("Caltrans"), among others. The City Manager is also authorized to enter into grant
agreements with subgrantees for the pass-through of grant funds in accordance with the
terms of the applicable grant and the SRTP.

SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
