He stated that he had subsequently re-advertised, and on July 13th had accepted '2 additional Bonds, par value of $60,000, tendered at $52.000. An analysis of savings frorr the repurchase cn June 21st was submitted to the r1embers. Jacobs be amended by increasing the maximum compensation amount to be paid by $11,500, dU3 to the continuing need for Mr. Jacobs' 5ervices. Mr. Harding moved, seconded by M~. Connelly, that an amendment to Contract do. 93 be approved, increasing the maximum compensation by $11,500. Richey moved, seconded by Mr. Schimmer, that the Administrati'/e Secretary be granted a merit increase in pay to Range 147, Ste? C ($674.00) as s~own in the 1970 Salary Resolution for the City of Santa Monica for the position of Senior Secretary, and that said increase is to be effective July I, 1971; further, that the Administrative Secretarjlr, salary, a, established by this motion, is to be increased by the exact dollar amOJ'lt received by the City's comparable position, range and step when the C~0^ 3argaining Unit and the City have concluded their salary negotiations in October or 1J0vember of 1971, and that this increase, when csta!:>lisrc I, is to be retroactive to July 1, 1971, The motion carried with the f0i!0l1- ing roll call vote; AYES: POES; <'\!iSENT: tiEI1BERS; HEnBERS; ~lENl.lERS ; 8arnard, Connelly, Harding, Richey, Schi[~mer I',one Fach, t./hiting Ii"', Sc;himmer Jr.oved, seconded by /-ir.
