The Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa Monica, California, met in special session In the City Counci 1 Chambers, on June 29, 1973, at 5:00 P.M. PRESENT: MEMBERS: Clo Hoover, Chairman Anthony L. Dituri Fred M. Judson John W. McCloskey Donna O. SWink Nathaniel Trives Pieter van den Steenhoven ABSENT: MEMBERS: None ALSO PRESENT: Robert E. Getz, General Partner, H.F.H., Ltd. Anne Morgenthaler, Evening Outlook Reporter Edward J. Costello, Jr., Special Counsel Eugene B. Jacobs, General Counsel Perry Scott, Executive Director Gary G. Jones, Director of Community Development May Palfrey, Secretary PROJECT ACTIONS AND REPORTS: ProJects l(a) and l(b): Reconsideration of AHency's Support of Developer's Appeals on Applications for Permit and Exemption The Chairman stated that a special meeting had been called for the purpose of reconsidering the Agency's support of the Developer's appeal to the State Coastal Commission on his Application for Permit and the Developer's appeal to the Courts on his Application for Exemption. The Chairman stated that the Developer, Mr. Getz, had asked if he could meet With a Committee of the Agency to discuss the status of the Land Disposition Agreement and the pending litigation. The Chairman then appOinted Mr. Dituri, Mr. McCloskey and Mr. van den Steenhoven as representatives of the Agency to meet with Mr. Getz for the purpose of discussing these matters. Discussion followed concerning the Agency's responsibi lity under Section 311 of the Land DispOSition Agreement. Mr. Judson left the meeting at 5:45 P.M. Lawrence Kates, operator of the Santa Monica Shores, spoke before the Agency, requesting consideration of his alternate proposal to develop the Project land. '1 . . . - . . Minutes - 6/29/73 Page Two Mr. Judson returned to the meeting at 6:00 P.M. Mr. Dlturl requested that the newly appointed Committee set a date and time for a meeting with Mr. Getz. The Committee agreed to meet on Saturday, June 30, 1973. at 9:00 A.M., In Mr. Dituri's office. Mr. Dlturl left the meeting at 6:05 P.M. The Chairman asked if any other persons in attendance Wished to be heard. David Shulman and Ruth Galanter spoke before the Agency, stating that they had opposed the H.F.H., ltd. Agreement before the Regional and State Conservation Commissions and asked the Agency to consider low and moderate Income housing and more open space in the ProJect. There being no further business to come before the Members, the Cha I rman declared the meet I ng adjourned at 6: 15 P.M.
