A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA, CERTIFYING THE FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT FOR THE OCEAN PARK REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AND DETERMINING THE IMPACT OF THE PROJECT ON THE ENVIRONMENT. WHEREAS, a Draft Environmental Impact Report for the proposed Ocean Park Redevelopment Project has heretofore been prepared and circulated for comment pursuant totheCalifornia Environmental Quality Act of 1970 (CEQA), and State and local regulations and guidelines adopted pursuant thereto; and WHEREAS, a Final Environmental Impact Report for the proposed project has been prepared pursuant to said statutes, regulations and guidelines; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND CERTIFIED BY THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA, AS FOLLOWS: I. The Redevelopment Agency hereby certifies that the Final EnVironmental Impact Report for the proposed Ocean Park Redevelopment Project has been prepared and completed in campI iance with said Act and said State and local regulations and guidelines adopted pursuant thereto. 2. The Redevelopment Agency hereby further certifies that the information contained in the Final Environmental Impact Report for said proposed project has been reviewed and considered by the Redevelopment Agency. 3. The Redevelopment Agency hereby further finds and determines as follows With respect to the adverse environmental effect detailed in the Final Environmental Impact Report: a. That the adverse environmental effect of the project shown in the Environmental Impact Report have been considered and recognized by the Redevelopment Agency. That the suggested adverse environ~ental effects of the project raised in the Draft Environmental Impact Report have been considered by the Redeve10pment Agency and, based upon the information and evidence set forth in the Final Environmental Impact Report, are found either not to exist, are of short-term duration or can be adequately ~itigated as shown in Section VII of the Report. b. That as to those adverse envi ronmental effects of the project which cannot be adequately ~itigated, the publ ic health, safety and general welfare would best be served by the project because of the overriding economic and social values, proviSIon for recreational facilities and needed housing. 4 The Redevelopment Agency hereby further finds and determines that said proposed project will not have a substantial adverse impact on the environmental and ~.jl 1 not have any significant adverse impact on the environment. 5. The Redevelopment Agency adopts the Final Environmental Impact Report as the report of the Redevelopment Agency.
