report recommending authorizatlon of a change order to the contract with
Californ1a Landscape, Inc., for construct1on of an east-west access~aY and a
gate at the northern end of the north-south accessv.aY 1n the Ocean Park
Redevelopment ProJect and dlrect10n to staff to prepare and execute agreements
W1 th Sea Colony Homem.mers Assoclation for payment of $35,000 toward construct1on
and assurance of annual malntenance costs. Member of the publlC and res1dent
of Sea Colony Jerry Fadim spoke in support of the proJect. Member Conn moved
to approve the staff recommendatlon, thereby authorlzing the City Manager to
execute a change order to the contract with California Landscape, Inc., for
construction of the east-west accessway and a gate at the north-south accessway
In the Ocean Park Redevelopment ProJect at a price not to exceed $85,200 plus
a 6% cont1ngency frmd; duectlng the Cl ty Attorney to prepare and the Clty
~~nager to execute a bindlllg agreement with the Sea Colony Homeo~~er's Assoclation
obllgatlllg the Association to a pa)ment of $35,000 toward the constructlon of the
north-south accessway, payable withIn 60 days of executlOn; and directlng the Clty
Attorney to prepare and the Execut1ve Director to execute a ground lease with the
Sea Colony Homeowner's .~soclation to assure the assumptlon of annual ma1ntenance
costs for the north-south access~~Y bv the .qssoc1atlon. Second bv Chain~oman
