The Parking Authority of the City of Santa Monica met in special
session at the above named time and place. The pledge of allegiance
was given.
PRESENT: Members: James B. Reidy, Jr., Royal M. Sorensen,
Herbert A. Spurgin, Kenneth B. Wamsley
ABSENT: Members: Wendell Corey, CIa Hoover, Rex H. Minter
ALSO PRESENT: Perry Scott, City Manager
Robert Cockins, City Attorney
william A. Hard, Assistant City Manager
Bartlett L. Kennedy, City Eng~neer
Joseph D. Nadon, Parking and Traffic Engineer
The date and time of the special meet1ng of the Parking Authority
was mailed to all members on June 9, 1966, and an affidavit to that
effect is on file in the office of the Parking and Traffic Engineer.
The public hearing was opened on the acquisition of the northwest
half of Lot F, the southwest half of Lot G and all of Lots Hand E
in Block 121: Lots T and S in Block 147: and Lots R, 0, P and Q in
Block 122, Town of Santa Monica Tract, now devoted to parking, as
required by Section 32950 of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California.
Notice of said hearing was published in the Evening Outlook on
June 3, 1966, and an affidavit to that effect is on file in the office
of the parking and Traffic Engineer. Also. said notice was posted
on the Council door on June 1, 1966.
As no one wished to speak, Mr. Wamsley moved to close the hearing.
The motion was seconded by Mr. Reidy and carried unanimously.
Mr. Spurgin read the title to a resolution entitled: t1A RESOLUTION
OF THE PARKING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA FINDING AND DE-
TERMINING THE PUBLIC INTEREST, CONVENIENCE, AND NECESSITY REQUIRE AND
AUTHORIZE A CONDEMNATION OF THE FEE TITLE TO CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FOR
THE OPENING UP, LAYING OUT, AND IMPROVEMENT OF A SITE FOR THE PIlRPOSE
OF OFF-STREET MOTOR VEHICLE PARKING IN THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA. II
Mr. Spurgin inquired if anyone wished to be heard on the resolution.
As no one indicated a desire to be heard, Mr. Wamsley moved to waive
further reading and adopt the resolution. The motion was seconded by
Mr. Reidy and carried by the following roll call vote:

The report of the Director of Finance dated June 6, 1966 was pre-
sented, in which he requested approval of the appointment of the Bank
of America as paying agent for the Parking Authority revenue bonds of
1966.
Mr. Reidy moved to approve the appointment of the Bank of Amer1ca
National Trust and Savings Association as paying agent for the Santa
Monica Park1ng Authority revenue bonds of 1966 at the agreed rate of
lO~ per coupon and $1.50 per bond. The motion was seconded by Mr.
Wamsley and carried by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Members: Reidy, Sorensen, Wamsley, Spurgin
NOES; Members: None
ABSENT: Members: Corey, Hoover, Minter
Upon motion made by Mr. Wamsley, seconded by Mr. Reidy and carr~ed
unan1mous1y, the meeting was adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
