M-9/22/1989 328 CITY OF SANTA MONICA CITY COUNCIL MEETING SEPTEMBER 22, 1989 An adjourned meeting of the Santa Monica City Council was called to order by Councilmember Reed at 7:48 a.m., on Friday, September 22, 1989, in the Council Chambers. Roll Call: Present: Mayor Dennis Zane (arrived at 7:55 a.m.) Councilmember Judy Abdo Councilmember Ken Genser councilmember Herbert Katz Councilmember Christine E. Reed Absent: Mayor Pro Tempore David B. Finkel Councilmember william H. Jennings Also Present: city Manager John Jalili city Attorney Robert M. Myers city Clerk Clarice E. Johnsen CLOSED SESSION: At 7: 50 a.m., councilmember Genser moved to adj ourn to Closed Session. Second by councilmember Katz. The motion was approved, Mayor Zane, Mayor Pro Tempore Finkel, and Councilmember Jennings absent. Therefore, Council adjourned to Closed Session for the purpose of considering the acquisition of real property commonly known as the Bergamot. The parcel is located south of Olympic Between 26th and Stewart streets. City's negotiators are John Jalili, Hank Dittmar, and Linda Mills-Coyne and they are authorized to meet with southern Pacific Transportation Company's negotiators who are Doug Stephenson and Linda Hill.
