A special meeting of the Santa Monica City Council was called to order by Mayor Genser 6:20
p.m., on Tuesday, May 30,2000, at City Council Chambers, 1685 Main Street.

2000-2001 Budget Study
Session Presentations
On order of the Mayor, the City Council convened at 6:20 p.m., with all
members present. Councilmember Bloom led the assemblage in the Pledge
of Allegiance.
On order of the Mayor, the public hearing was opened. Members of the
public Chuck Allord, Tony Vazquez, and Sheila Wells commented on the
proposed budget.
City Manager Susan McCarthy and staff presented an overview of the
proposed budget and the Capital Improvements Program for Fiscal Year
2000-2001 to the City Council:
Department Heads presented the budgets for their respective departments as
follows.
