The Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa Monica, California, met
In regular session in the City Councl I Chambers, on April 24, 1973, at
7:00 P.M.
PRESENT:

ABSENT:

ALSO PRESENT:

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Mr. Trives moved, seconded by Mr. Dituri, that the minutes of
March 27, 1973 be approved as mai led. The motion carried with a unani-
mous voice vote.
Status of Redevelopment Projects
The Director of Community Development gave a report on the Project
activities from the time of Its inception and a current status report
to fami liarize the new Members of the Agency with the Projects.
Mr. McCloskey quoted excerpts from a Los Angeles Times editorial
dated April 18, 1973, relating to Proposition 20 and the Regional Com-
misSlonls approval of Santa Monica's Application for Exemption.
Mr. McCloskey then moved that the Agency send a letter or wire to
both the Regional and State Conservation Commissions stating that the
Agency is wi lling to rely on whatever decision the Commissions grant
and in no way is the Agency going to engage In any effort that might
be misinterpreted by the publ ic. The motion was not seconded.
Upon the recommendation of Agency Counsel, Mr. Trrves moved,
seconded by Mr. McClOSkey, that the meeting adjourn to an Executive
Session to discuss litigation matters. The motion carried with a
unanimous voice vote. The meeting adjourned at 7:10 P.M.
The meeting reconvened at 7:40 P.M., at which time Mr. McCloskey
moved, seconded by Mr. van den Steenhoven, that the meeting be adjourned
to May 8, 1973, at 7:00 P.M. The motion carried with a unanimous voice
vote.
