APPROVAL OF BillS: The Secretary reviewed the bills as follows: John Gray - Financial Consulting Services, March, 1968 $230.00 TOTAL BILLS . . $230.00 Mr. Barnard moved, seconded by Mr. Harding, that the bills be paid as submitted, in the amount of $230.00. Weaver, Secretary of the Dept. of Housing and Urban Development, and from Mrs. Florence Conlin, Director of the Relocation Branch of HUD, commending the Agency on the recently published Final Relocation Report for Project 1 (a) and on the Agency1s success in relocating people in the Project. . . . . . Minutes - 4/23/68 Page Two NE\4 BYS I NESS: Retirement System The Secretary stated that the Agency had received proposals from two insurance companies on retirement plans for employees of the Agency. She added that to ascertain the cost of joining the State Retirement Plan, an actuarial valuation must be made by the State of California under contract. Mr. Arnie Friedman entered at 4:37 P.M. Discussion followed, in which the Members expressed their opinions regarding a retirement system for the Agency. Mr. Barnard moved, seconded by Mr. Whiting, that the Executive Director-Secretary be instructed to obtain an actuarial valuation at a cost not to exceed $40.00, and that the matter of a pension or retirement system be postponed until such time as the Members review the salary policy of the Agency. The motion carried with the following roll call vote: AVES: NOES: ABSENT: MEMBERS: Schimmer, Barnard, Connelly, Fach, Harding, Richey, Whiting MEMBERS: None MEMBERS: None Personnel Session Upon the Secretary1s request to enter into a Personnel Session, Mr. Barnard moved, seconded by Mr. Whiting, that the meeting be adjourned into a Personnel Session.
