A RESOLUTION OF THE PARKING AUTHORITY
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA AND THE
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING THE PARKING
AUTHORITY TO AWARD A CONTRACT FOR
DEMOLITION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE
REDEVELOPMENT AREA AND MAKING AN
AWARD OF THE SAME.
WHEREAS, the Parklng Author~ty owns certaln real
property located at the southwest corner of the ~ntersectlon of
Broadway and Fourth Streets wlthln the Downtown Redevelopment
ProJect area, WhlCh property lS to be conveyed to the RedevelOp-
ment Agency for redevelopment purposes pursuant to the Redevelop-
ment Plan for sald ProJect; and
WHEREAS, certaln lmprovements located on sa~d property
must be demollshed as a part of the lmplementatlon of sald
Redevelopment ProJect; and
WHEREAS, the Parklng Authorlty has recelved bids for
such demol~tlon work In the manner requlred by law; and
WHEREAS, a perm~t has been lssued for such work
pursuant to the Cal~fornla Coastal Zone Conservatlon Act of 1972;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Parklng Authorlty and the Redevelop-
ment Agency of the Clty of Santa Monlca do hereby resolve as
follows:
SECTION 1.
The Redevelopment Agency hereby
requests and authorlzes the Parklng Authorlty to duly award
a contract for the demolltlon of certaln lmprovements located
on property owned by the Parking Authorlty located at the south-
west corner of the lntersectlon of Broadway and Fourth Streets
wlthln the Downtown Redevelopment Project area, pursuant to

sald Redevelopment Plan and Coastal Act permlt.
SECTION 2.
The Parklng Authorlty agrees to let
a contract for the demolltlon of sald property to the lowest
responslble bldder.
SECTION 3.

submltted a bld to the Parklng Authorlty ln the amount of
$20.71;0 . _
which lS the lowest and best bld.
SECTION 4. A contract lS hereby awarded to
Alexander Land Clearin.!=!. Inc. for demolltlon of sald property
ln accordance with the speclflcatlons ln Notlce Invltlng Blds
for the sum of
$20~750
SECTION 5.
The Secretary of the Parklng Authorlty
shall certlfy to the adoptlon of thls resolutlon, and thence-
forth and thereafter the same shall be lD full force and effect.
SECTION 6.
The Secretary of the Redevelopment
Agency shall certlfy to the adoptlon of thls resolutlon, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be In full force and
effect.
