PARKING AUTHORITY MINUTES
COUNCIL CHAMBER, CITY HALL, SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA
Regular Meeting
7;30 p.m., Tuesday, April 10, 1979
The Parklng Authority of the City of Santa Monica met in regular seSSlon
at the above-named time and place. The Pledge of Allegiance was given.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Donna O. Swink, John J. Bambrick, Seymour A. Cohen,
Christine E. Reed, Perry Scott, Nathaniel Trives,
Pieter van den Steenhoven
MEMBERS ABSENT; None
ALSO PRESENT: Charles K. McClain, City Manager
Richard L. Knickerbocker, C,ty Attorney
Stanley E. Scholl, Director of General Services
James J. Wrenn, Parking & Traffic Engineer
Mr. Trives moved to approve the Minutes of the Regular Meeting held
January 9, 1979. The motion was seconded by Mr. van den Steenhoven and
carrled unanimously.
Mr. MeClaln presented the staff report for award of bld for reconstructing
and landscaping Parking Lots 2, 2A, 9, 9A, and IDA, recommending that
the contract be awarded to the low bidder, Sully-Mlller Contracting Co.,
in the amount of $118,087.50. Mr. Trives moved to accept the staff's
recommendation. Mr. van den Steenhoven seconded the motion and it passed
unanimously by roll call vote.
Mr. Cohen moved to adopt the Resolution lmplementing parking rate lncreases
on Parking Authority Lots 7, 8, 12, and 22. Mrs. Reed seconded the motlon
and it passed unanimously by roll call vote.
There being no further business before the Parking Authority, on motion
by Mr. Trives, seconded by Mrs. Reed and carried unanimously, the meeting
was adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
