PARKING AUTHORITY MINUTES
COUNCIL CHAMBER, CITY HALL, SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA
Speclal Meeting
7:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 13, 1977
The Parking Authority of the Clty of Santa Monica met in special session
at the above-named tlme and place.
MEMBERS PRESENT; Donna O. Swink, John J. Bambrick, Seymour A. Cohen,
Chrlstine E. Reed, Perry Scott, Nathaniel Trives, Pieter
van den Steenhoven
MEMBERS ABSENT: None
ALSO PRESENT: James O. Williams, City Manager
Richard L. Knickerbocker, City Attorney
Stanley E. Scholl, Director of General Services
James J. Wrenn, Parking & Traffic Engineer
ITEM 1 - ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION FOR MONTHLY PARKING RATE INCREASES
Mr. Cohen moved that the resolution be adopted. The motion was seconded
by Mr. Bambrick and passed with the following vote:
AYES: MEMBERS: Swink, Bambrick, Cohen, Reed, Scott, Trives, van den Steenhoven
NOES: MEMBERS: ~one
ABSENT: MEMBERS: None
ITEM 2 - APPROVAL OF PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS - PARKING AUTHORITY LOT 10
Mr. Trives moved to adopt the Staff recommendation for improvement of
Parking Authority Lot 10 and allocate $10,000. Mr. van den Steenhoven
seconded the motion. Followlng a general discussion, during which Mr.
Wrenn answered questions from Authorlty members, the motion passed wlth
the following vote:
AYES: MEMBERS; Swink, Bambrlck, Cohen, Reed, Trives, van den Steenhoven
NOES; MEMBERS: Scott
ABSENT; MEMBERS: None
There being no further business before the Parking Authority, on motion
by Mr. Trives, seconded by Mr. van den Steenhoven and carried unanlmously,
the meeting was adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
