PARKING AUTHORITY MINUTES
COUNCIL CHAMBER, CITY HALL, SANTA t40NICA, CALIFORNIA
March 26, 1968 7:05 P.M.
The Parking Author~ty of the City of Santa Monica met Ln
special session at the above named time and place. The Pledge of
Allegiance was given.

It was announced that the date and t~me of this special
meeting of the Park1ng Authority was de11vered to all members on
March 21, 1968 and that an affidavit to that effect is on file in
the offLce of the Parking and Traff~c Engineer.
Mr. Spurgin introduced the first ~tem on the agenda, the
award of bids to demolish certa1n build~ngs at or near the inter-
sect10n of Fourth Street and Broadway. After short discussion,
~t was moved by Mr. Reidy that the recommendation of the adm1nis-
tration be approved, and that a b1d be awarded to the Cleveland
Wreck1ng Company in the amount of $12,564.00. The motion was
seconded by }trs~ Hoover and carried by the foJlowing roll call vote:

Mr. Spurg1n introduced the second ktem on the agenda, an
amendment to Parking Authority Contract No. 24-A* relating to
the salary for the resident engineer on the parking structures.
It was moved by Mr. Reidy that Parking Authority Contract
No. 24-A be amended to increase the salary of the resident
engineer (I~~ Robert Ewart) to $1,103 per month, with overtime
at straight tLme, as recommended by the City Engineer. The
motion was seconded by firs. Hoover and carried by the following
roll call vote:
