PARKING AUTHORITY MINUTES
COUNCIL CHAMBER; CITY HALL; SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA
March 26, 1968 7:05 P.M.
The ParkLng AuthorLty of the City of Santa Monica met Ln
special session at the above named time and place. The Pledge of
AllegLance was given.
MEMBERS PRESENT:

Joseph Nadon, Parking & Traffic Engineer
It was announced that the date and t1me of thLS special
meeting of the Parking Authority was del1vered to all members on
March 21, 1968 and that an affidavit to that effect is on fLle 1n
the offLce of the Parking and TraffLc Engineer.
Mr. Spurgin introduced the first item on the agenda, the
award of bids to demolish certain bUlldlngs at or near the inter-
section of Fourth Street and Broadway. After short discussion,
~t was moved by Mr. Re1dy that the recommendation of the admLnis-
tration be approved, and that a b~d be awarded to the Cleveland
wreckLng Company in the amount of $12,564.00. The motlon was
seconded by Mrs. Hoover and carried by the following roll call vote:

Mr. SpurgLn introduced the second item on the agenda, an
amendment to Parking Authorlty Contract No. 24-A, relat1ng to
the salary for the resident engineer on the parking structures.
It was moved by Mr. Reidy that Parking AuthorLty Contract
No. 24-A be amended to increase the salary of the resldent
engineer (Mr. Robert Ewart) to $1,103 per month, with overtime
at straLght tLme, as recommended by the City Engineer. The
mot1on was seconded by ~1rs. Hoover and carr1ed by the following
roll call vote:

Mr. Reidy asked if the city Manager would bring to the next
regular meeting (April 9, 1968) a recommendation as to the future
use of parking Authority properties along Main Street and Neilson
Nay.
Mr. Dituri moved that the special meeting be adjourned. The
motion was seconded by Mr. Reidy and carried unanimously. The
meeting was adJourned at 7:l5 P.M.
