CLOSED SESSION: Presented was a request for Closed SeSSIon for
the purpose of conslderlng personnel matters and threatened
lItigatIon, pendIng lItigatIon, and litIgatIon to be commenced by
the Cl ty. At 6: 01 p. m., Counc ilmember Conn moved to adJ ourn to
Closed Session to consider personnel matters and the followlng
pendIng case: Geffen v. Clty of Santa Monica, Santa Monlca
Super ior Court Case No. WEC 68391. Second by Councllmember H.
Katz. The motion was approved by unanImous vote. At 8:20 p.m.,
Council reconvened. Mayor Reed announced that no action was
taken.
ADJOURNMENT: At 8: 21 p. m., Counc Ilmember Zane moved to adJourn
the meetIng In memory of former Chief of Pollce Earl Reinbold.
Second by Councllmember H. Katz. The motion was unanlmously
approved.
