NOVEMBER 29, 1988
A special meeting of the Santa Monica City council was called to
order by Mayor Conn at 7:07 p.m., in the Council Chambers, having
been adjourned from November 22, 1988.
Roll Call: Present: Mayor James P. Conn
Mayor Pro Tempore Herb Katz
Councilmember David B. Finkel
Councilmember William H. Jennings
Councilmemher Christine E. Reed
(arrived at 7:22 p.m.)
Councilmember Dennis Zane
Absent: Councilmember Alan S. Katz
The following Items were considered, having been continued from
November 22, 1988.
CLOSED SESSION: At 7:08 p.m. Council adjourned to Closed Session
to consider personnel matters. At 7:22 council reconvened.
5-A: MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING/CALIFORNIA LEAGUE OF CITY
EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION (CLOCEA): Presented was a recommendation
to adopt a resolution approving a Memorandum of Understanding
with the California League of City Employees Association
(CLOCEA), continued from November 22, 1988. Mayor Pro Tempore H.
Katz moved to adopt Resolution No. 7725(CCS) entitled: "A
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A MEMORANDUM OF
UNDERSTANDING WITH THE CALIFORNIA LEAGUE OF CITY EMPLOYEES
ASSOCIATIONS," reading by title only and waiving further reading
thereof, thereby authorizing the city Manager to negotiate and
execute Contract No. 5242(CCS) between the city and the
California League of City Employees Association. Second by
councilmember Zane. The motion was approved by the following
vote:

Katz, Reed, Zane, Mayor Conn
