A specIal meeting of the Santa Monica City Council was called to order
at 3:32 P.~. by ~ayor Pro Tempore Cohen.

At 3'32 P.M. Councllmember Reed moved to recess to a personnel session
to discuss select10n of a CIty Manager. Second by Councilmember van
den Steenhoven.
CouncIL Vote: UnanImously approved 6-0
Absent: \layor Swink
The Council reconvened at 3:59 P.M. with members present as lIsted in
the roll call. Mayor Pro Tempore Cohen announced that the selection
of a City Manager had been discussed and no action had been taken.
At 4:00 P.\l. Councilmember Reed moved to contInue the meet1ng to
9:00 A.M. on FrIday, November 24, 1978 for the purpose of consider1ng
a resolution to set a publIC hearIng on the matter of the annexation of
the small cul-de-sac streets north of San Vicente, and to continue
the personnel del1beration w1th regard to hIring a new City Manager.
Second by Counc1lmember Bambr1ck.
Council Vote: Unanimously approved 6-0
