staff report recommending adoptIon of necessary resolut1ons to
determ1ne certaIn publ1C improvements and low-moderate income
housing to be of benef1t to the Ocean Park Redevelopment Project
area; approval of proposed payment on the costs of construct1on
and i nst allat Ion of certa 1n proposed pub 11C beach 1mprovemen ts
and struc tur al rehab111 tat ion, r emodell ng and expans 10n of the
Ocean Park Branch Library; and approval of a proposed cooperatIon
and re1mbursement agreement between the Agency and the City. The
publl c hear lng was declared open at 7: 38 P. M. There be1ng no
one wishing to speak to the matter, CouncIl/Agency Member EpsteIn
moved to close the public hear1ng at 7:39 P.M. Second by
CouncIl/Agency Member Conn. Agency Member EpsteIn moved to adopt
ResolutIon No. 394(RAS) ent1tled: "RESOLUTION OF THE SANTA
MONICA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY DETERMINING CERTAIN PUBLIC FACILITIES
AND IMPROVEMENTS TO BE OF BENEFIT TO THE OCEAN PARK REDEVELOPMENT

FINANCING SAID PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS IS AVAILABLE TO THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA AND AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT BY THE AGENCY OF THE
COST OF CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF SUCH PUBLIC

SECTION 33334.2 FINDING THAT THE PROVISION OF LOW AND MODERATE
INCOME REPLACEMENT HOUSING WILL BE OF BENEFIT TO THE OCEAN PARK
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA AND AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDIUTE OF

CC/RA-2: OCEAN PARK REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT: Presented was a
staff report recommending that the ExecutIve DIrector be
authorized to negotIate and execute an agreement to purchase the
propertIes at 2323 and 2405-07 Fourth Street for affordable
replacement hOUSIng for the Ocean Park Redevelopment ProJect.
DIScussion was held. The followIng members of the publIC spoke
to the matter: Wal t Zambas J ErIC Yew J and LIna Leinhauser.
Agency Member Epstein moved to approve the staff recommendation,
thereby authorizIng the Executive DIrector to negotiate and
ex ecute Contract No. 4333 (CCS) , an agreement to purchase
propertIes at 2323 and 2405-07 Fourth Street for affordable
r eplacemen t housing for the Ocean P ark Redevelopment proj ec t.
Second by Chairperson Pro Tempore Press. DISCUSS ion was held.
