was authorIZed to negotIate and execute a lease with Graplux Data for office space at 612
Colorado Avenue
6-G MAINTENANCE SERVICE/P ARKlNG STRUCTURE ELEVATORS BId No 2464 was
awarded to VIking Elevator Company at the specIfied amount of $4,500 per month to proVIde
mamtenance servIce for SIX (6) parkmg structure elevators
6-H APPOINTMENT OF MEMBER/TASK FORCE ON THE ENVIRONMENT Steve Davis
was appomted as a new member to fIll a vacancy on the Santa MOllica Task Force on the
EnVIronment.
6-1 EXEMPTION OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROJECTS FROM PITCHED ROOF
REQUIREMENTS The City Attorney was dIrected to prepare an ordmance amendIng
Ordmance No. 1689(CCS) to mclude a proviSIon which mdlcates that m applicable reSIdentIal
dIstrIcts, for developments located on parcels WhICh abut or are located across an alley from a
non-residentIal dIstrict with a maxnnum heIght limit equal to or greater than the height limit for
a pItched roof m the reSIdential district, the reqUIrement for a pItched roof shall not apply and
the flat roof may achieve the heIght establIshed for a pItched roof.
6-J AMENDMENT OF OFFICIAL DISTRICTING MAP ResolutIOn No. 8674(CCS) entItled
"A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA AMENDING THE OFFICIAL DISTRICTING MAP OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA," was adopted, thereby notIcmg the Intent to amend the official Dlst!lctmg Map of
the CIty of Santa Moruca to rezone 916 Palisades Beach Road from Resldentml VISItOr
CommerCIal (RVC) to Low DenSity Multiple ReSidentIal Beach DIstnct (R2B)
8-A INTERIM DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS/Ml AND C5. Presented was an ordmance
for second readIng and adoption establIshmg interim development standards for pOrtIOns of the
city located in selected areas of the Ml and CS dIStncts DISCUSSIon was held Councilmember

Presented was the staff report recommending conceptual reView and discusslOn of the
prelmunary urban design plan for the C1Vie Center Specific Plan Area, authonzatlon for staff
to select a consultant to prepare Specific Plan reViSions and nnplement strategy and authorization
of an appropnation to fmahze the CiViC Center SpecifIc Plan. Councll asked questlons of staff
