PARTNERSHIP ACT PROGRAMS - FY 1999-2000 Presented was the
pubhc hearIng to receIve pubhc comment and hold diSCUSSIOns on budget
prionttes for Fiscal Year 1999-2000 and for the Commuruty Development
Block Grant and Home Investment Partnershtp Act Programs

quarterly sidewalk washmg, and approval by the named busmess assessment
dtstncts for quarterly sidewalk washmg, mcludmg the remainder of
downtown and Montana
Member of the publIc Jean McNetl Wyner concurred with the requests by
the Chamber, as presented by Dan Ehrler, and spoke m support of the
Lifelong Learrung Project Member of the pubhc Tony Palermo spoke m
support offundmg for the ConventIon and VisItors Bureau
The followmg members of the pubhc urged Council to 11ft the cap on
fundmg of agencIes servmg the homeless Valene Freshwater, Nick Taylor,
Melba Culpepper, and Ellen Sawyer
Member of the pubhc Scott Freshwater urged Council to fund attendant
parking for parkmg structures 7 and 8 Member of the publIc Joy Fullmer

Motion by Comrmssioner Feinstein, seconded by VIce Chatr Genser, to hear
a late speaker for one mmute The motion was unammously approved by
VOice vote, ComrmSSIoner Rosenstem absent

neIghborhood groups, park matntenance, and a 2,000- foot breakwater
There being no further speakers, the ChaIr closed the pubhc heanng
MotIon by ComnusslOner Genser, seconded by COmmISSIOner Feinstetn, to
continue deliberations on Item No CCIHA/PAIRA-1 to January 19, 1999
The motIon was unanimously approved by VOIce vote, CommiSSIOner
Rosenstein absent
