A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
CERTIFYING THE FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT
ON THE ARBORETUM DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT AMENDMENT AND ZONING
ADMINISTRATOR DETERMINATION AT 2000-2200 COLORADO AVENUE
WHEREAS, a Notice of Preparation of an Environmental Impact
Report was issued in December, 1993; and
WHEREAS, a Notlce of Completlon of a Draft Environmental
Impact Report was published ln July of 1994; and
WHEREAS, the Draft Environmental Impact Report was
circulated for a 45-day period; and
WHEREAS, ln October, 1994, the Final Environmental Impact
Report was published; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commisslon has reviewed and considered
the contents of the Final EIR in its decis~on-maklng process; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commisslon recommended certlficatlon
of the Final EIR; and
WHEREAS, on January la, 1995, the Clty Council, as Lead City
Agency, reVlewed the Final Environmental Impact Report,

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS.
SECTION 1 The City Council has reviewed and considered the
Flnal Envlronmental Impact Report on the Arboretum Development
Agreement Amendment and Zoning Administrator Determination
located at 2000-2200 Colorado Avenue prior to act~ng on the
proJect.
SECTION 2. The Clty Council certifles that the
environmental review for the project was conducted in full
compliance with State and City CEQA Guidelines, that there was
adequate public review of the Draft Environmental Impact Report,
that it has considered all comments on the Draft Environmental
Impact Report and responses to comments, that the Final
Environmental Impact Report adequately discusses all significant
environmental ~ssues, that the Final Environmental Impact Report
reflects the independent judgement of the City, and that the Clty
Council has considered the contents of the Final Environmental
Impact Report In its decision-maklng process. ,
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certlfy to the adoption of
this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
