A RESOLuTION OF THE CITY COu~CIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING ON
APRIL 11, 1995, TO HEAR ANY PROTESTS OR
OBJECTIONS TO THE CONFIRMATION OF ASSESSMENT
COSTS FOR TREE PLk~TING AND APPURTENANT WORK
ON COLORADO AVENUE BETWEEN 7TH STREET AND 14TH
STREET
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 The Superintendent of Streets will file a
report of work pursuant to Section 5882 of the Streets and Hlghways
Code of the State of Californla, relatlng to the tree plantlng and
appurtenant work completed on:
COLORADO AVENUE BETWEEN 7TH STREET AND 14TH STREET
SECTION 2 Pursuant to Sectl..on 5870 et seq of sald
Code, the City Councl1 does hereby order and declare that on the
11th day of Aprll, 1995 at 6:30 p.m., l..n the Clty Council Chambers
of City Hall, 1685 Maln Street, Santa Monlca, Californla 90401, it
Wl..ll hear and pass upon the report by the Superintendent of
Streets, of the cost of the tree planting together wlth any
objectlons or protests, lf any, WhlCh may be raised by any property
owner subject to an assessment for the cost of improvements and by
any other interested persons.
SECTION 3 All protests or obJections must be in wr~ting
and flIed with the City Clerk on or before the time set for the
hearing of the protests and obJections

SECTION 4. The Clty Clerk hereby is dlrected to mall
notlces, pursuant to Governnent Code Sectlon 54954.9, ln the manner
an form prescrlbed by law, of the cost of lmprovement and of the
adoptlon of this Resolution to all persons ownlng commerclal,
and/or lndustrlal real property in the herelnbefore described
assessment district whose names and addresses appear on the last
equallzed assessment roll for the Clty taxes or as known to the
Clty Clerk
SECTION 5. The City Clerk hereby lS directed to publlSh
thlS Resolution, ln accordance wlth Government Code Section 6066,
ln The Outlook once a week for two weeks, wlth at least flve days
lnt.ervening between the first date and the second date of
publication The flrst publicatlon lS to be wade not less than 45
(forty-flve) days prior to the date of the above public hearing.
SECTION 6 The Clty Clerk shall certify to the adoptlon
of thlS Resolutlon, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be ln full force and effect.
