A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
AUTHORIZING THE HOLDING OF A PARADE ON SEPTEMBER 17,1994 ON
A ROUTE OTHER THAN THE OFFICIAL CITY PARADE ROUTE
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 4 08.580 of the Santa MOnica Municipal Code,
the City Council may authorize a parade route as set forth herem,
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 That on September 17, 1994 at 9 00 am participants m the U.S.
ConstItution Day Parade are authorized to conduct a parade along the followmg route
Staging at the Rand Corporation parking lot proceeding south on Mam
Street crossing the southernmost City limits
SECTION 2 Permission to conduct the parade IS granted upon the following
conditions:
a That parade Units may not be brought to the staging area, the Rand
Corporation parking lot, prior to 6.00 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, 1994.
b That duration of the parade be limited to two hours, including frequent
traffic breaks to allow buses and other traffic to cross the parade route

c That any service not provided by the City such as barncadlng and conrng
of streets and posting of directional signs be assumed and paid by the Organizers
d. That the Organrzers notify all residents and businesses three blocks west,
east, north and south, as well as along the parade route, of the event and of alternate
traffic routes, after approval of the notification letter by the City
e. That any and all permits from the City of Los Angeles and County of Los
Angeles be filed with the City of Santa Monica prior to the event date.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of thiS Resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be In full force and effect
