A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA. AUTHORIZING
THE RENEWAL OF A GRANT FOR A
SERIOUS HABITUAL OF'1".tl\IDER PR03RAM.
~, the City of Santa Monica desires to renew a certain
project designated the Santa Monica Serious Habitual Offender (SHO)
Program, to be fnnded in part from fnnds made available through the
Serious Habitual Offender Program administered by the Office of
Criminal Justice Planning (hereafter referred to as OOJP) .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL\l1:ill that the City Manager of the
City of Santa Monica is authorized to negotiate and execute the
Grant Award Agreement including any extensions or amendments
thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide
all matching funds required for said project { including any
amendment thereof} under the Program and the fnnding terms and
conditions of OCJP and that the cash match will be appropriated as
required.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any liability arising out of the
perfonnance of this Grant Award Agreement, including civil court
actions for damages, shall be the responsibility of the grant

recipient and the authorizing agency. The State of California and
OCJP disclaim responsibility for any such liability.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLV.I:ill that grant funds received hereunder
shall not be used to supplant expenditures controlled by this body.
