A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA DESIGNATING
THE CITY'S AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVES
DEALING WITH THE CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES
AND THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY
WHEREAS, on January 17, 1994, the Clty of Santa Monica
experienced a major earthquake caus~ng significant damage within
portions of the City, and
WHEREAS, a state and federal d~saster area was declared
ent~tling the C~ty of Santa Monica to rece~ve re~mbursement as
authorized by the Stafford Act of 1974 (PL 93 - 288) as
admlnistered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
and the California Office of Emergency Services (OES) ;and
WHEREAS, in order to receive this re~mbursement, FEMA
requlres the city Counc~l adopt a resolution des~gnating official
representat~ves for purposes of sign~ng off~cial documents,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES DESIGNATE AS FOLLOWS
SECTION 1. John Jal~l~, City Manager and Kat~e E. L~chtig,
Sen~or Management Analyst as off~c~al representatives for the
C~ty of Santa Monica.

SECTION 2. The Clty Clerk shall certify to the adoptlon of
this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
