A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING
THE SUBMITTAL OF A PROPOSAL AND THE SIGNING OF A CONTRACT
FOR PROVIDING SERVICES FOR ELDERLY PERSONS

WHEREAS, The County of Los Angeles Department of Communlty and
Senlor Cltizens Services has been awarded the funds for provid~ng
services for the elderly under the Older Amer~cans Act: and
WHEREAS, the Clty of Santa Monlca w~shes to apply for Older
Americans Act funds for soclal servlces, In order to admlnlster
said serv~ces; and
WHEREAS, it 1S necessary that the C1ty of Santa Monica approve
the subm~ttal of a proposal for Older Amer~cans Act funds; and
WHEREAS, It ~s necessary that the Clty of Santa Monlca
deslgnate and author~ze a representat~ve to sign the contract for
Older Amer~cans Act funds on behalf of the sa~d C~ty of Santa
Monica,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA:
SECTION l. Approve the submlttal of a proposal for Older Amerlcans
Act funds;

SECTION 2. Des1gnate the C1ty Manager or, 1n h1S or her absence,
the Ass1stant Clty Manager as the authorlzed representatlve to sign
the contract and all documents necessary to accompany sa1d
contract, 1nclud1ng all amendments to sa1d contract w1th1n the
f1scal year.
SECTION 3. The C1ty Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolut1on, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be 1n
full force and effect.
