A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA AUTHORIZING THE HOLDING OF A PARADE ON DECEMBER
27, 1993 ON A ROUTE OTHER THAN THE OFFICIAL CITY
PARADE ROUTE
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 4.08.580 of the Santa
Monica Municipal Code, the City Council may authorize a parade
route as set forth herein,
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That on December 27, 1993, at a time
approved by the Santa Monlca Pollee Department, partlclpants in
the Bayside District/University of Southern Californla Pep Rally
are authorlzed to conduct a parade along the following route.
The parade will start in the Rand parking lot and
proceed north on Main Street to Colorado Avenue, head
west on Colorado Avenue to Second Street, proceed north
on Second Street to Wilshire Boulevard, proceed east on
Wilshire Boulevard to Third Street, proceed south on
Third Street to the Center Plaza on the Third Street
Promenade.
SECTION 2
Permlsslon to conduct the parade is granted
upon the following conditions:
a. Parade unlts wllI be brought to the staging area,
the Rand parking lot prlor to the start on Monday, December 27,

b. The necessary number of police officers, as
recommended by the Santa Monlca Pollee Department, will be
provided for crowd and trafflc control along the parade route at
a cost to the Bayslde Dlstrict.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoptlon of this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be In full force and effect.
