A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
AMEl'iTIING THE OFFICIAL DISTRICTING MAP
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
WHEREAS On October 15, 1992, the Ctty CouncIl adopted and approved a Local
Coastal Program document, containing a Land Use Plan and ImplementalOn Plan. for submission
to the Cal1fomla Coastal CommISSion which contained proposed amendments to the Dlstnctmg
Maps of the City of Santa Momca; and
WHEREAS On July 28, 1992, the CIty CouncIl adopted and approved a Resolution
authonzwg the withdrawal of the ImplementalOn Plan sectIOn of the Local Coastal Program
document from conSlderatlOn by the Cal1forma Coastal CommiSSion; and
WHEREAS On August II, 1992, the Caltforma Coastal Commission certIfied the Land
Use Plan WIth respect to certain geographIC areas of the City and With sugggested modIficatIOns;
and
WHEREAS On September 15, 1992, the CIty Co uncI] adopted the suggested
modificatIOns to the Land Use Plan of the Local Coastal Program as certified by the Call forma
Coastal CommissIon. and
WHEREAS On September 28, 1993 the City CounCll dIrected staff to amend the
OffiCIal Dlstnctwg Map to Implement to specific zone changes adopted by the City CouncIl In
October 1992 but deferred for actIon by the Caltforma Coastal CommISSIon,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS'
SECTION I Pursuant to the Santa Momca MUnIcipal Code, the City CouncIl does
hereby gIve notIce of Its mtentlOn to amend the OffiCIal DlstnctIng Map of the City of Santa
MOnIca as set forth 10 ExhIbit A

SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoptlOn of this Resolution and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be In full force and effect.
