RESOLUTION NUMBER 8667

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA CERTIFYING THE
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT ON THE HOUSING ELEMENT UPDATE
WHEREAS, a Notice of Preparation of an Environmental
Impact Report was issued in September 1992; and
WHEREAS, a Notice of Completion of a Draft Environmental
Impact Report was published in April, 1993; and
WHEREAS, the Draft Environmental Impact Report was
circulated for a 45 day period; and
WHEREAS, in July, 1993, the Final Environmental Impact
Report was publ~shed; and
WHEREAS,
the Planning Commission has reviewed and
considered the contents of the Final EIR in its decision-making
process; and
WHEREAS,
the
Planning
Commission
recommended
certificat~on of the Final ErR; and
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1.
The c~ty Council f~nds that the F~nal
Env~ronmental Impact Report adequately d~scusses all signif~cant
environmental issues and certifies that the final EIR was
prepared in compl~ance w~th CEQA, the State EIR Guidelines and
the City of Santa Monica CEQA Guidelines, and that the Cl.ty
council has reviewed and considered the contents of the Final EIR
in ~ts decis~on-making process.
SECTION 2. The city Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolut~on, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.
