RESOLUTION NO. 8666
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
CERTIFYING THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT
ON THE MID-CITY AREA TRAFFIC PLAN
WHEREAS, a Notice of Preparation of an Environmental Impact Report was ISSUed in
August, 1992; and
WHEREAS, a NotIce of Completion of a Draft EnvIronmental Impact Report was
pubhshed In May, 1993; and
WHEREAS, the Draft EnvlronmentaJ Impact Report was circulated for a 45 day publIc
comment penod and sent to the state clearinghouse and City of Los Angeles Department of
Transportation for review; and
WHEREAS, in September, 1993 the Fmal Environmental Impact Report was published;
and
WHEREAS, on September 28, 1993 the City Council held a pubhc heanng on the Final
EnVironmental Impact Report for the Mid-City Area traffic plan,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SA!\"TA MONICA
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION I. The City Council of the City of Santa MOnica finds that the Fmal
EnvIronmental Impact Report (EIR) adequalely discusses all slgmficant envlronmenlal issues and
certifies that the Final EIR was prepared in compliance wIth California EnvIronmental Quality
Act (CEQA), the State EIR GUIdelines and the CIty of Santa MOnica CEQA GUldehnes, and that
the City Counctl has reviewed and considered the contents of the Final EIR in its decision-
making process.
SECTION 2 That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of thiS Resolution and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be In full force and effect
