A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT TO THE
METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (MTA) THE 3-Year
ALLOCATION PLAN FOR PROPOSITION C LOCAL RETURN PROGRAM
FUNDS
WHEREAS, Proposition C Local Return funds are to be used
to expand transit service, reduce traffic congestlon, lmprove alr
quali ty I and improve the condition of the streets and freeways
heavily used by publlC translt; and,
WHEREAS, the Clty of Santa Monlca deslres to utillze the
funds for public transit proJects under the gUldelines of
Proposition c,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The city Manager, or his or her deslgnee, is
authorized to subrnlt to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority
(MTA) the Proposition C Local Return 3-Year Allocation Plan.
SECTION 2. The City Manager, or his or her designee, is
authorized to execute any related documents required under the
Proposition C Local Return Guidelines.

SECTION 3. The Clty Engineer shall forward a certifled
copy of this Resolutlon to the MTA, for processing.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of
this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
