A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA APPROPRIATING FISCAL YEAR 1992-93 FUNDS TO GANN'ED
RESERVE AND/OR DESIGNATED BALANCE SHEET ACCOUNTS
WHERE."\.S, under the prov1s1ons of Artlcle XIIIB of the Cal1forma
Const1tut1on, a Clty 15 author1zed to appropr1ate to a Gann'ed reserve and/or
deslgnated balance sheet accounts the d1fference between actual spendlng
subject to the Gann AppropnatlOns L1mlt and the C1tY'5 Gann Appropnat1ons
L1m1t for that fiscal year; and
WHEREAS. approprlating aval1able funds to Gann'ed reserve and/or
des1gnated balance sheet accounts 1S In the publlC 1nterest because
establ1shment of Gann'ed reserve and/or des1gnated balance sheet accounts
lncreases the ablllty of the Clty Councll to respond to the serVlce needs of
the c1tlzens of the C1ty of Santa Monlca.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS'
SECTION 1. All F1 scal Year 1992-93 General Fund, Parks and
Recreatlon Fund, and TORCA Fund appropr1atlons, exclus1ve of Federal or State
grant appropr1atlons, shall be adjusted to actuals as determ1ned by the Clty'S
annual flnanclal audlt as set forth 1n the Clty'S Flscal Year 1992-93
ComprehenSlve Annual Flnanclal Report. and the dlfference betvJeen the lesser
of $12,644,638 or actual expendltures and encumbrances subJect to 11mltatlon
as deter~lned by the C1ty'S annual f1nanc1al aud1t as set forth ln the C1ty'S

. F1scal Year 1992-93.mprehens1ve Annual F1nanc1al .rt for these Funds and
the C1ty'S Fiscal Year 1992-93 Gann Appropr1at10ns Llm1t, to the extent funds
are avallable, 1S hereby appropnated to reserve and/or des1gnated balance
sheet accounts 1n these respectlve Funds.
SECTION 2. The C1ty Clerk shall cert1fy to the adopt1on of th1S
Resolut10n, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be 1n full force and
effect.
