RESOLUTION NO. 8353 (CCS)
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA REQUESTING
AN ALLOCATION AND PAYMENT OF COUNTY
AID TO CITIES FUND
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles has appropriated
certaln monies to the city of Santa Monica as County Ald to
Citlesi and
WHEREAS, the Los Angeles County Board of supervisors has
adopted policies limiting the use of sald monles for the purpose
of malntaining "Select Systemll streets, the project lS entitled
"Reconstruction of Fourth street, from North of Route 10 (santa
Monlca Freeway) to Broadwayll: and
WHEREAS, the City council deSlres to expend the amount
of One Hundred Five Thousand Elght Hundred Forty Dollars and
Thlrty Five Cents
($105,840.35)
of County Ald To Cltles
Carry-Over Funds accrued to the Clty for proJects ln accordance
wlth sald policies; and
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCI L OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
The County of Los Angeles is hereby
requested to allocate One Hundred Five Thousand Elght Hundred
Forty Dollars and Thlrty Five Cents ($105,840.35) of the FY
1988-89 Aid to cities (ATe) Carry-Over Funds apportioned to the
Clty for the projects which will improve ln accordance wlth the

Los Angeles County Board of supervisors policy regarding the use
of sald Aid to Cltles Funds.
SECTION 2.
After the allocation is approved by the
Board of Supervisors and funds are avallable, the County 1.S
requested to send such allocated amounts to the Clty.
The Cl ty
will begln using the funds for sald proj ect accordlng to the
terms of the allocation.
SECTION 3. The Clty Engineer shall forward a certified
copy of thlS Resolutlon to the Los Angeles County Director of
Public works for processing.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certlfy to the adoptlon
of this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.
