RESOLUTION NO. 8255(CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COVNCIL OF THE CITY
Of SANTA MONICA SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR
AUGUST 13, 1991 TO HEAR ANY PROTESTS OR
OBJECTIONS TO THE COKflm~ATION OF ASSESSMENT
OF COSTS FOR TREE PLANTING ON WILSHIRE
BOULEVARD BETWEEN OCEAN AVENUE AND CENTINELA
AVENUE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA nONICA DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
The Superintendent of streets will file a
report of work pursuant to Sectlon 5882 of the streets and
H1ghways Code of the State of Callfcrnla, relatlng to the tree
plantlng conpleted on Wllshlre Boulevard between Ocean Avenue and
Centlnela Avenue withln the city of Santa Monlca.
SECTIO~1 2.
Pursuant to Sectlon 5870 et seq. of said
Code, the city Councll does hereby order and declare that on the
13th day of August 1991, at 7:30 p.M., 1n the city Counc~l
Chambers of City Hall, it will hear and pass upon the report by
the Superintendent of Streets, of the cost of tree plantlng
together wlth any Ob]ect1ons or protests, 1f any, Wh1Ch may be
ralsed by any property owner liable to be assessed for the cost
of such tree plantlng and any other 1nterested persons.
SECTION 3.
All protests or obJ ectlons Must be 1n
wr1ting and filed w1th the C1ty Clerk on or before the time set
for the hearing of the protests and obJections.

SECTION 4.
The Superintendent of Streets is hereby
directed to rall notices, in the :nanner and forn prescribed by
la~'l f of the cost of tree plantlng and of the adoptlon of this
Resolution to all persons ownlng cornercial Dr industrlal real
property in the herelnbefore descrlbed assessnent district whose
names and addresses appear on the last equallzed assessment roll
for the Cl ty taxes or as knm.,n to the Cl ty Clerk.
SECTION 5.
The Clty Clerk shall certlfy to the
adoption of thlS Resolutlon, apd thenceforth and thereafter, the
sa~e shall be ln full force and effect.
