A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA APPROPRIATING FISCAL YEAR 1990-91 FUNDS TO GANN'ED
RESERVE AND/OR DESIGNATED BALANCE SHEET ACCOUNTS
WHEREAS~ under the provislons of Article XIIIB of the Cahfornia
Constltutlon~ a Clty lS authorlzed to approprlate to a Gann'ed reserve and/or
deslgnated balance sheet accounts the dlfference between actual spendlng
subj ect to the Gann Appropn at 1 ons L 1 ffil t and the C 1 ty' s Gann Approprl at 1 ons
Llmlt for that flscal year; and
WHEREAS, appropri at 109 ava 1 lab 1 e funds to Gann' ed reserve and/or
designated balance sheet accounts 1S 1n the publlC 1nterest because
establlshment of Gann'ed reserve and/or deslgnated balance sheet accounts
lncreases the abllity of the Clty Council to respond to the service needs of
the eltlzens of the City of Santa Monlea.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. All Fl seal Year 1990-91 General Fund and Parks and
RecreatlOn Fund appropnatlons~ exc1uslVe of Federa1 or State grant
appropnatlOns, shall be adjusted to actuals as determined by the Clty'S
annual flnancial audit as set forth In the C,ty's Flscal Year 1990-91
Comprehens lVe Annual Flnanenl Report ~ and the dl fference between the 1 esser
of $7,655,582 or actual expendltures and encumbrances subject to llmitation as

determi ned by the C 1 ty' s annual f1 nanc i a 1 aud 1 t as set forth 1 n the C 1 ty' s
Flscal Year 1990-91 Comprehensive Annual Flnancial Report for these Funds and
the City's Fiscal Year 1990-91 Gann Appropriations Llmlt, to the extent funds
are available, is hereby appropnated to reserve and/or designated balance
sheet accounts in these respectlve Funds.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certlfy to the adoptlon of thlS
Resolutlon, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be ln full force and
effect.
