WHEREAS, the city has determined that the property described in
Section 1 of this Resolution is no longer needed for the purpose
acquired and that said property is not needed for any public
street purpose; and
WHEREAS, on July 14, 1987, the city council adopted Resolution
No. 7467(CCS) authorizing sale of the property described in
Section 1 of this Resolution to Santa Monica Building Materials;
and
WHEREAS, street vacation of this excess right-of-way must be
completed before sale of the property is completed,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Monica orders
vacation of that excess Olympic Boulevard right-of-way between
Twentieth street and Twentieth Court and located at the
northeasterly corner of Twentieth street and Olympic Boulevard,
shown on Drawing 5633, Olympic Boulevard Right-of-Way Map, 20th
Street to 21st Street on file at the City of Santa Monica
Engineering Division, and described as follows:
That portion of Olympic Boulevard in the City of Santa Monica,
County of Los Angeles, state of California, relinquished by the

on March 28, 1966, in Book R2523, Page 769, of official records
of said County; said land being portions of Lots 10, 12, and 14
in Block 20 of the Erkenbrecher Syndicate Santa Monica Tract, in
said City, County, and state as shown on Map recorded in Book 6,
Pages 26 and 27, of Maps in the office of the County Recorder of
said County, described as whole as follows:
Commencing at the most westerly corner of said Lot 12; thence
along the Southwesterly line of said Lot, south 44045' 00" east
(being the basis of bearings for the purposes of this
description), 24.80 feet to the beginning of a non-tangent curve
concave northerly, having a radius of 15.00 feet, a radial line
of said curve to said point bearing south 03033'37" east; thence
easterly along said curve through a central angle of 33"59'4611 an
arc distance of 8.90 feet to a line that is parallel with and
8.00 feet northeasterly, measured at right angles, from said
Southwesterly line of said Lot, said point being the true point
of beginning, a radial line of said curve to said point bearing
south 37033'2311 east; thence continuing along said curve through
a central angle of 19C111' 02" an arc distance of 5.02 feet to a
point of compound curvature wi th a curve having a radius of
765.00 feet, a radial line of said curve to said point bearing
south 56Cl44'25" east; thence northeasterly along said curve
through a central angle of 10 <147' 17" an arc distance of 144.04
feet to the Northeasterly line of said Lot 10; thence along said
Northeasterly line of said Lot 10, and of Lot 12, south 44Q42'53"
east 29.05 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave

southwesterly, having a radius of 5.00 feet; thence southeasterly
along said curve through a central angle of 680'20' 15" an arc
distance of 5. 96 feet to a point of compound curvature with a
curve having a radius of 795.00 feet, said curve being concentric
with aforesaid curve having a radius of 765.00 feet, a radial
line of said curve to said point bearing south 66" 22' 38" east;
thence southwesterly along said curve through a central angle of
8039' 29" an arc distance of 120.13 feet to a point of compound
curvature with a curve having a radius of 20.00 feet, said curve
being tangent at its westerly end to said previously mentioned
parallel line that passes through the true point of beginning;
thence westerly along said curve through a central angle of
102058'09" an arc distance of 35.94 feet to said parallel line;
thence along said parallel line north 44~45100" west 6.7l feet to
the true point of beginning.
SECTION 2. In vacating said portion of the Olympic Boulevard
right-of-way, the city council of the City of Santa Monica
reserves and excepts from the vacation, for a period of four
years from the close of escrow, a ten-foot wide easement five
feet on either side of an existing water line, over the full
length of said portion of said excess right-of-way to be vacated,
and the right at any time and from time to time during these four
years to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove, and renew
water lines and appurtenant structures in, upon, over, and across
the property to be vacated. Said water line is shown on Map 29
of the City of Santa Monica Water Map Book kept on file in the
City of Santa Monica Water Division.

SECTION 3.
From and after the date this Resolution is
recorded, the excess right-of-way shall no longer constitute a
City of Santa Monica street.
SECTION 4. This vacation is completed in accordance with the
provisions of the California Streets and Highways Code, Part 3,
"Public Streets, Highways, and Service Easements Vacation Law,"
Chapter 4, "Summary Vacation."
SECTION 5. Pursuant to streets and Highways Code section 8336,
the City Clerk shall cause a copy of this Resolution to be
recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of
Los Angeles.
Upon such recording, the vacation shall be
complete.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
