RESOLUTION NO. 7477(CCS) (CITY COUNCIL SERIES) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF CERTAIN ALLEYS KNOWN AS TWENTY-SECOND COURT AND SANTA MONICA PLACE NORTH, BETWEEN ARIZONA AVENUE AND TWENTY-THIRD STREET, IN THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Monica hereby declares its intention to order the vacation of all of those portions of Twenty-Second court and Santa Monica Place North described as follows: a strip of land twenty feet in width, the southwesterly boundary of which is the northeasterly boundary of Lots 8 though 15 and the southernmost twenty feet of the northeasterly boundary of Lot 16 of Tract No. 4618 in the City of Santa Monica, County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 49, Page 80 of Maps in the Official Records of the County Recorder of Said County ~ and a strip of land twenty feet in width, the southeasterly boundary of which is the northwesterly boundary of Lots 5 though 7 of Tract No. 4618 in the city of Santa Monica, County of Los Angeles, state of California, as per map recorded in Book 49, page 80 of Maps in the Official Records of the County Recorder of said County, and the southwesterly prolongation of such line to the intersection with the southeasterly prolongation of the southwesterly boundary line of Parcell, described above. - 4 - "'- . . SECTION 2 . The City Council of the city of Santa Monica, in vacating said portions of said Twenty-Second Court and Santa Monica Place North, intends to reserve and except from said vacation an easement the extent of which spans the entire width and length of said Court and Place intended to be vacated, for the purpose of constructing, maintaining, operating, replacing, removing and renewing all sanitary sewers, water mains and other public utility facilities and appurtenant structures. The city Council of the City of Santa Monica finds that the public convenience and necessity require such reservation. SECTION 3 . The City Council of the City of Santa Monica, in vacating the above-mentioned portions of Twenty-Second Court and Santa Monica Place North, elects to proceed under and in accordance with the provisions of the Public streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law, Streets and Highways code Section 8300 et seq. SECTION 4. The hour of 7:30 o'clock p.m. of the 8th day of September, 1987, in the Council Chamber in City Hall, Santa Monica, california, be and the same hereby is fixed as the time and place when and where all persons interested in or obj ecting to the proposed vacation may appear before the city Council and offer evidence in relation thereto. SECTION 5. The Superintendent of streets of the City of Santa Monica hereby is directed to cause Notices of Street Vacation to be posted as required by streets and Highways Code Section 8323. - 5 - ~ . .
